Bouzouki is traditionally taught by ear.
At the Studio X Music School, we take a more modern approach to teaching bouzouki that gives our students the same advantage that students of other instruments take for granted.
Whilst continuing the traditional teaching methods, we've added the benefit of musical notation combined with TAB that removes all common bouzouki student questions like; What fret/string is that note played on? What fingering do I use? What's the picking pattern for that?
This approach means, as well as learning to play the Bouzouki correctly, students learn to read music (from scratch), progress faster and acquire a solid understanding of music theory that can be applied to any instrument.
Furthermore, students learn songs, how to improvise, develop their ear and play with others.
